Cameron Allen

Research Scientist

Cameron Allen is a research scientist at CHAI, where he studies fundamental questions about intelligence, meaning, perception, and preferences. Broadly, he is interested in how AI systems and people decide what is important and how to represent it in their cognitive architectures. He works to build AI systems that can support us in our ongoing efforts to discover what we truly care about, which includes helping us notice when the mental maps we’ve constructed are actually leading us astray. He dreams of a future where people and AI can work together to deepen our understanding of the world and of each other. Learn more at his website.
